About SRC

Purpose

Syria Reporting Center (SRC) is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 2018 committed to documenting and preserving records of human rights violations in Syria, with the goal of building a future based on justice, restoration of civic trust, and the rule of law.

Leveraging its extensive on-the-ground presence, network, and advanced research methods, the organization provides meticulous intelligence on the hierarchical structures, key individuals, and operations within various armed groups, including both military and militia forces.
Through its work not only in exposing human rights abuses but also in mapping and attributing responsibility for these violations, SRC ensures that accurate and reliable data and evidence is available to accountability mechanisms at the level of governments and internationally mandated bodies.

Mission

Through our work in these critical areas, we are building a future where grievances are addressed, human rights are upheld, the environment is protected, and everyone has access to the resources they need to live in dignity.

  • Document and expose human rights violations, ensuring accountability and justice for victims and survivors.
  • Promote accountable governance, transparency, and the rule of law at all levels of society.
  • Ensure that vulnerable populations, particularly women, have access to housing, land, and property rights.
  • Advocate for social inclusion, promoting equality, particularly for women, children, refugees, and displaced communities.
  • Support local capacity building, enabling communities to participate in governance, recovery and reconstruction efforts.
  • Advocate for and pursue justice for crimes under international law and enhanceprotection for affected communities.
  • Promote access to health, education, and environmental protection for all Syrians.

Vision

We envision a Syria where all individuals, particularly women, children, and marginalized communities, can enjoy the protection and realization of their fundamental rights, access education and healthcare, and live in an environment that fosters equality and justice.

We aim for a Syria that is resilient, inclusive, and governed by transparency and accountability.
